Companies are waking up to water management as an essential part of building a sustainable business and developing innovative strategies for measuring and cutting water use across the supply chain.
Corporate Water Footprinting, which takes place December 2-3 at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco, will bring together businesses and water conservation experts to discuss best practices in water measurement and conservation.
"I'm looking forward to hearing what others are doing, as it may help our efforts, and to get feedback on our approach," says Greg Koch, Managing Director of Global Water Stewardship at The Coca-Cola Company. Koch will present on Coca-Cola’s aggressive water reduction plan at Corporate Water Footprinting. Since 2002, the company has improved its water efficiency by over 20% and is setting further targets for long-term efficiency.
This conference will outline how leading companies are addressing water management and offer practical advice on mapping and reducing water consumption. It will also explain the concept of "water footprinting" which was developed by water management expert Dr. Arjen Hoekstra, another conference presenter.
